The Field Centre is situated in the small hamlet of Heol Callwen, Glyntawe, on the southern edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park. The building is a conversion of an old primary school. Sleeping up to 36 people the Centre is ideal for College trips, which are made in Years 4, 5 and 7.
The Centre provides a whole host of activities and study options. These include caving, climbing, canoeing, gorge walking, mountain walking, mountain biking and mountain boarding. Visits are also arranged to some of the historical features within the Brecon Beacons National Park including castles, iron-age hill forts, Roman encampments and standing stones.
