In recent years debating has become an increasingly significant co-curricular activity at Dulwich. The College teams participate, with considerable success, in all the major national competitions while in some years we have been the only independent school in the country to be represented in the England schools debating team.
Debating forms an important part of the curriculum, with each pupil receiving debating tuition for one period each week in Years 7, 8 and 9. We believe that debating is an excellent way of developing the ability to think clearly, independently and critically. It also helps the boys to hone the powers of expression and argument which are valuable tools in any walk of life.
