There are about 80 older (Year 12 and 13) boarders at the College and they live in either Ivyholme or Blew House where each of the boys has his own study-bedroom with en-suite bathroom. The Housemaster of Blew House is Mr Henderson and the Housemaster of Ivyholme is Mr Pelly. Comfortable common rooms with snooker/pool, satellite television, computer suites and wireless internet access in all rooms are common to both houses.
The Houses are in the heart of the campus and retain their own separate identities. Boys relish being part of a close-knit community whilst enjoying all the benefits of living within an extended family. Regular inter-house competitions and social events are organised, but academic study is also strictly monitored. Our boarders are particularly successful academically: last year they achieved excellent grades at both AS and A2 levels, whilst more than 50% were offered places at either Oxford, Cambridge, London, or one of the top US universities
