Boarders at Dulwich enjoy the best of both worlds. Standing in 70 acres of open space, the College is nevertheless just a twelve minute train journey from the centre of London.
There are three boarding houses, each of which has a Housemaster who is resident with his family. They are assisted by a team of House Tutors who are also very much part of the family, resulting in a strong sense that Dulwich represents a home from home.
Our boarding community is truly international, with some 20 nationalities typically represented. Weekly boarding is also available; an appealing option for busy London parents.
Boys from all three Houses eat together in the Boarders’ Dining Room, but each House also has its own kitchen facilities where boys can make light meals and hot drinks.
With London on the doorstep, there is no shortage of destinations for weekend trips. Museums, art galleries and the theatre, of course; but also the cinema, go-karting, paint-balling, ice-skating – the list of activities on offer in and around the capital is endless.
There’s also plenty going on at the school and most boys become involved in one or more of the many co-curricular activities available such as sport, music, drama, CCF, scouts or community service.
Dulwich has a long tradition of boarding, and the boarding community is fully integrated, with students from overseas receiving additional English language teaching if required.
