400th Anniversary

400 logoIn 2019 the College will celebrate its quartercentenary, the 400 years since Edward Alleyn received permission from James I to found and endow his College of God’s Gift at Dulwich.

It has been a remarkable journey punctuated most significantly by the refoundation of the College in 1858 and the move to the theatrical conception of the Barry Buildings on Dulwich Common in 1870.

Our aim as we move towards 2019 is to mark not only significant milestones in the College’s history, but to rejuvenate our current campus, and increasingly to look to the future.

The logo of our celebrations was devised by one of the boys, and captures the iconic image of the clock tower whose chimes have marked the passing of the school day for 150 years.

We are currently planning events for 2019 itself. More details will be here shortly.
