target 2.0 team
A team from Dulwich College has won the Area Final of the prestigious Bank of England Target 2.0 Competition. The competition, which is run by the Bank of England in conjunction with The Times, offers teams of students aged 16-18 the chance to take on the role of the Bank of England's Monetary Policy Committee, assess economic conditions and the outlook for inflation and tell panels of judges what interest rate they would set to achieve the Government's inflation target of 2.0%.

The Dulwich Target 2.0 team of Worapat Witchawut, Maciej Maruszczak, Oliver Bubb-Humfryes and Phillip Ross, having already won the regional heat against stiff opposition, went on to make a second intelligent and inspiring presentation in a competitive field of eight schools from south  London.  The next stage, which involves just six schools from an original nationwide entry of 600, will be the two day National Final at the Bank of England. Mervin King, Governor of the Bank of England, will be judging their performance.
